Important information concerning field trips:

Any activity off school grounds is considered a field trip and must be cleared with the Administrator. The Administrator must be informed of the field trip at least two weeks prior to the event by completing the Field Trip Request form. Once approved, the teacher should place a copy in "The Connection" box and send notes home to parents with any needed additional information. Written permission must be obtained from parents in order for students to participate in Field Trip. Each grade may take no more than three field trips per year, one may be of a "fun" nature, the rest must be "educational" in nature. Field Trips may not be planned on Chapel Days.

It is important for all - parents, grandparents, etc. attending to understand that they are considered chaperones and will be expected to help with students at the discreation of the teacher who will always be in charge. An orientation meeting will be held before leaving on the trip, so that everyone understands their duties and responsibilites while on the trip. If you are asked to provide transportation, you will be required to provide the following information: Driver Information Form and a copy of a current driver's license. All drivers or a passenger in the car must have a cell phone and the number recorded in the teachers information to the school, in case a need arises to contact the drivers or passengers.

Everyone should remember that you are an ambassador of the school while on any field trip.
