Day
to day school operations are overseen by
an Administrator/Principal. Our students
on average, test a year and a half ahead
of public school students on Stanford
Achievement Tests. Our Pre-School through
Kindergarten programs challenge children
in phonics, numbers and other academic
areas. SHCS uses curriculum that
stimulates learning in students while
being consistent with the teachings in
God's Word. Students are taught to think
and to deal with the world around them
from a Christian perspective.
Pre-School
(3) and Pre-Kindergarten (4) students must
be three years old or four years old
(respectfully) by August 1st. We offer
both full day and half day classes for
these ages. Kindergarten students
must be
five years of age by August 1st
(no exceptions), and
Kindergarten classes meet for a full day.
All students seeking admission should
complete and submit an Application Form
and a mandatory interview with the student
and his/her parent prior to being admitted
to SHCS. Testing may be required for grade
placement.
The
following items should be completed and
submitted prior to a student admission to
SHCS:
- Submit
a completed application and pay the
registration fee
- Submit
current immunization records or
complete an SHCS health form
- Submit
a copy of your child's Birth
Certificate
- Complete
an interview
- Grade
placement testing
