First Day in Spanish Class with
4th Grade

Kindergarten
through 12th grade will be taking
Spanish through the use of Rosetta
Stone Software. This program is the
number one educational technology in
the country for learning foreign
language.

Chosen to be part of Student
Ambassadors Summer of 2012
| Romello G. has been
chosen to be part of the
Student Ambassadors program
on an educational trip
trhgouh the British Isles
and France. This is national
program offered through the
People to People movement
in 1956, Student
Ambassadors select a small
number of young applicants
in grades 5 through 12 and
gives them the opportunity
to be immersed in a culture
while learning about their
people, gaining leadership
experience and representing
the United States, not to
mention SHCS. We are so very
pround of Romello in being
chosen for such a program.
We look forward to hearding
all about his fantastic
summer next year. But in
preparation for this summer
he will be doing fundraising
by collecting aluminum cans,
participating in Pennies
from Heaven, and raffling
off dinners at Red Lobster
and the Bon Femme Cafe, as
well as a suite at the
Marriot Hotel. If you are
interested in helping him
with his fundraising, please
call the school.

SHCS Student Wins 1st Place in a
National Gymnastics Participation
|
|
Congratulations to
Ashley K. for winning 1st
place over all in a National
Gymnastics Association meet
in which there were 70
competiors. Ashley won 1st
in Vault, 3rd in Floor
Exercise and 8th in Parallel
bars, with a high score of
9.5. Ashley has been
competing in Gymnastics for
several years and continues
to do expectionally well.
Great job Ashley! We are
very proud to have you at
South Haven Christian
School.

Congratulations to Erika
B. for winning the Family
Fun Box which was on display
in the school office and
elligable to be won by
students who had re-enrolled
for next school year. Erika
is a 3rd Grader in Mrs.
Dunn's class and we are
pleased that she will be
back with us next year, as
we are for all of our
re-enrollment students. If
you haven't re-enrolled for
the 2012-13 school year,
please do so as soon as
possible. Until March 31st
this is a 50% discount on
registration fees. Also
remember that if you have a
student enrolled at SHCS and
someone puts your down as
introducing them to SHCS,
you will be eligible to
receive a Recruitment Bonus.
This is $75.00 for students
in Pre-School and Pre-K and
$150.00 for students in
Kindergarten thru 12th
grade. |
